Loans and leases secured by the equipment, matched to the right lender.
Equipment financing funds the purchase or refinancing of machinery, vehicles, aircraft, medical, industrial or technology equipment, with the equipment as the main security. Structures include loans, finance leases, operating leases and sale-leasebacks, with terms matched to the equipment's useful life. Facilities we work on start at $5 million and are typically $10 million to $250 million, often as a program covering several purchases.
How it works in a paragraph
The lender looks at the equipment first: what it is, how old it is, how readily it resells, and where it is. It then looks at the borrower's ability to pay. In a lease, the lessor may keep ownership and take the risk of the residual value; in a loan the borrower owns the equipment from the start. Advance, term, pricing and structure vary by lender and asset. Nothing here is an offered term.
